ACE Tech represents the rich cultural diversity of Chicago, drawing students from over 100 area grammar schools. We hold the highest standards for academic excellence, but we are also an open enrollment school (meaning there is no test score or g.p.a. required for admission). We are committed to providing exemplary college and career preparation for every student in our growing school community. Since the award of our charter and opening of ACE Tech, we have engaged in extensive curriculum and facilities development – but there is still a great deal of challenging work ahead. Our doors are always open to those who would share their expertise and creativity in support of building this critically important opportunity!
Underlying ACE Tech’s educational goals is an overarching philosophy based on three convictions:
- Provide a Curriculum Designed for Postsecondary Endeavor - Our knowledge-based economy increasingly requires the same kinds of skills for work and college and thus efforts to improve student achievement must focus on where students go when they leave—postsecondary education and work.
- Re-Invent Career Education – ACE Tech firmly committed to the vision that in order to attain the highest levels of student achievement and prepare our students for highly-skilled, high wage careers, we must partner rigorous, college-prep curriculum with real-world career development and experiences both in- and outside the classroom.
- Nurture Lifelong Success - We must provide students with innovative institutions and interpersonal relationships that will bridge the gap between high school and postsecondary education or apprenticeship.
