ACE Tech Advisory

 

Advisory is a safe community where students and educators collectively build relationships for academic and social supports with the goal of personal character building, improving overall school culture, and realizing post-secondary opportunities. Also, advisories strive to connect students to the ACE Tech mission, providing students with the necessary tools for goal-setting and reflection.

Advisory instructors serve as mentors, facilitators, organizers, role models, and informational liaisons for their student colleagues.  Professionally, advisory instructors must be accountable and open-minded, understand student development and be prepared to provide students with appropriate community and relationship building opportunities.

 

ACE Tech wants advisory instructors who "practice what they preach" - instructors who work with students as caring, respectful and trustworthy partners in a shared community.

 

Senior Ambassador Program

 

The ACE Tech Senior Ambassador Program was designed specifically for the 12th grade students, with a focus on character development. The program consists of a ten-week formal intensive mentoring process. The students participate in discussion groups, workshops, student-led tutorials, community development projects, and social outings. The program thus challenges and motivates students to strive for excellence, become responsible citizens, develop a life-long love of learning, and establish a sense of purpose for their lives.
