Application Process |
| |
| 1. |
Application Availibility: Fall - Applications for the next school year are released. |
| |
|
| 2. |
Open House: Fall - Winter - ACE Tech conducts a series of open houses for prospective students and their parents. |
| |
|
| 3. |
January: Application Deadline - Applications must be complete and in the ACE Tech Office by January 31. All complete applications are given a lottery number for our random drawing and each will receive equal opportunity, provided they are in on or before the deadline. |
| |
|
| 4. |
Early February: Application Lottery - Our random lottery will draw 150 accepted applications. These 150 students comprise the Accepted Applicants. All remaining students become Waitlist Applicants. |
| |
|
| 5. |
Late February: Acceptance Letter Mailing - Each of the 150 accepted students will be sent a parent letter announcing that they have been chosen in the ACE Tech lottery, and explains the next steps to complete Acceptance and Enrollment for the next school year. |
| |
|
| 6. |
Acceptance Deadline: Each Accepted Applicant that returns the signed Acceptance Letter to the ACE Tech office by April 16th will become an Accepted Freshman, and will be enrolled with ACE Tech.
Parents must also bring a copy of their child's acceptance letter to their elementary school by that April 16th deadline so their elementary school can "graduate" them to ACE Tech. |
| |
|
| 7. |
Waitlist Applicants: All students with complete applications who are not accepted in the Application Lottery become Waitlist Applicants. A second lottery is held with all remaining applicants. Each of these students is awarded a number based on their drawing. This sequential order dictates the order in which they will be offered acceptance at ACE based on the number available positions after the Acceptance deadline. |
| |
|
| 8. |
Waitlist Opens: For each vacancy, a member of the Waitlist will be sent an Acceptance Letter. Applicants have 10 days to sign and return the letter. After 10 days, their offer is withdrawn and another vacancy is created. This process will continue until 150 Accepted Applicants submit parent-signed Acceptance letters and are enrolled as Accepted Freshman. |
